Echo is our 5 year old girl, who began our love for Golden Retrievers. Echo was brought to us as a guardianship placement through Legacy Farms, a breeding program run by Nicole Melton in Richmond, VA. The best way to describe Echo is whimsical. She has always been so unbelievably intelligent, athletic, curious, and funny. She learned her “parlor tricks” in a 20 minute session at 12 weeks old and has remembered them all ever since. She loves to play, she loves to train, she will happily do anything asked of her and let you do anything with her. 

She has a Junior Hunter title, but has always had the ambition and ability to go further than that, it is of no fault of her own that she did not. She has also competed in a local dock diving competition, on a whim, and took home Second place for her group for the entire weekend. There is nothing that she is afraid of, she is brave and eager to please. 

Echo has had three beautiful litters of puppies with the Legacy Farms breeding program, with one more in her future before she is retired. She has been an incredible mother, she labors smoothly and easily, and takes such amazing care of her puppies. She has produced amazing dogs that have gone on to be incredible athletes, service animals, therapy animals, and companions. She has pups all over the US from Washington state to Florida competing in agility, dock diving, and hunt tests, and others trained to be service dogs and even hospital therapy dogs.
