Hi, I’m Jessie.

Castile Creeks James River Jessie MH13

Jessie is one of those "once-in-a-lifetime " dogs.   She's incredibly smart and loaded with drive.  She has been very easy to train, almost as if she knew instinctively what was being shown to her.  Her marking abilities are superb and works with you excellently when running blinds. She is extremely fast and very focused.  She passed her 1st Senior hunt test at 13 months of age and her 1st Master test at 2 years of age.

Jessie has unfortunately had a couple of setbacks early in her life that held her back from being more accomplished in her career.   She had an unexpected illness and subsequent surgery when she was about 18 months old. She had somehow embedded a piece of grass in her side that ultimately caused a large bump and infection. This had her out of training for 4 months following surgical removal.  Then in October of 2022 while running a master test she broke a toe on her right front foot, incredible enough as that was, she continued that run and brought back the bird on three legs. She now has a plate with 5 screws in that foot.  This kept her out of training and tests for a year.  During that year of recovery she had her first litter of puppies.  Upon returning to training she went to Castile Creek Kennels in Missouri.  While under their care and handling she passed 11 out of 13 master tests in 2024 which qualified her for the 2024 Master National Test in Kevil, Kentucky.

Upon returning from her training in Missouri, we started running Qualifying Stakes Field trails with her. She and I are still learning this new game and are very excited to see where it may lead us.
